O gleaming lakes of silver,
O mirror of heaven`s blue,
Thy waters calm, ne`er quiver,
But glide with graceful move.
Green islands dot your waters,
Enchanters of human eyes,
And mountain shadows border
Yon liquid paradise.

O Artist of all artists,
Such colours did you choose,
A lake of blue and silver,
You painted with heavenly hue.

Dear Lakes renowned forever,
Shine forth God`s glory here,
A paradise reflected,
A pond of angels` tears.
